Being from thea designing background, the first thing that came intoto my mind after listening to this topic was, what'What impact wouldwill technology have on the fashion industry in next 10years.10 years?' I had already come across a few articles in the past about designers using technology in their garments. Textile industries, as well, are moving towardstoward more sustainable and technologically advancedtechnologically-advanced fashion. FewA few examples of innovations and sustainability in textile industries are, fabric that picks up and transmits vital data, Glitch Textiles is using binary data to make patterns, levisLevi's is using recycled water to produce jeans, and many more.
I wanted to find something that linked technology with sustainability, and while looking for it I found out about Bio-fabricationdiscovered bio-fabrication.
I was working with Farheen on this assignment.
We started with finding basic information about bio fabricationbio-fabrication. Over our several group meetings, we shared and compared our notes. It wasn't a very tough journey. Bio-fabrication is still is quite uncharted and there isn't much written about it. So, so we opted for primary research and designed a questionerquestionnaire about the past and future acceptance of bio-fabrication in the luxury segment.
